How do I afford to bring my claim?
Initial advice is free. If we decide to take your case we will write to you and tell you what we will charge you for and how much that is likely to be. If you have a case which is reasonably likely to succeed we can enter into a conditional fee agreement with you i.e. ‘no win no fee’ which means that you do not pay us anything if you lose your case. We will recommend that you take out a policy of insurance to protect you against the risk of losing and having to pay your opponents costs. We will also check to see if you already have Legal Expense Insurance attached to your motor or household and contents insurance or on your credit cards or in a variety of other sources.

Have I got a claim?
If the accident was caused totally or in part by somebody else you will usually have a claim. We will explore this with you fully.

How much money am I likely to receive?
You can recover compensation or ‘General Damages’ for your injury pain and suffering. Levels of general damages are specific to your injury and we will give you advice on this once we know exactly how you have been affected. You can also recover your losses such as loss of earnings, medical expenses, care, transport, treatment costs, rehabilitation and counselling. In a road traffic accident we can arrange for repairs to your vehicle or help you obtain the value of the vehicle if the car is written off and we can also arrange a replacement vehicle for you whilst yours is off the road.

How long will my claim take?
This depends upon you and how long you take to recover. In a straightforward road traffic accident claim we can obtain compensation within 4 months of you starting your claim provided you co-operate with us and experience no complications with your injury. In other more serious injury claims it is not always in your interests to settle your claim quickly as you need to be sure that you are fully recovered before agreeing your compensation
